The Medical Assistance Service and the Saturday Paediatric Outpatient Clinic are available during the hours when the Family Doctor and/or Paediatrician are not active.

The doctors present provide assistance that cannot be postponed, i.e. that cannot be referred to the GP the following day, guaranteeing home and outpatient visits.

The service is free of charge.

Telephone contact and home visits: doctors can be contacted throughout the opening hours of the service for telephone consultations or home visits by calling the single free number 116117 throughout Lombardy.

Daytime timetable (on public holidays and bank holidays): 8.00 – 20.00

Night-time hours (every day): 20.00 – 08.00

Direct access to outpatient clinics: doctors, if not busy with home visits, are available at all locations for outpatient assessment, prescribing sufficient medication for chronic therapies to guarantee subsequent access to the outpatient clinic of the attending physician, and issuing illness certificates at the following times

Daytime hours (on pre-holidays and public holidays): 08.30 – 12.00 and 13.00 – 18.30

Night hours (every day): 20.00 – 23.30

Outside these hours, the Continuity of Care Doctor is responsible for assessing the clinical situation and, if necessary, postponing the visit to the next outpatient access time or to the doctor in charge.

Home visits and telephone consultations are always guaranteed.
